The Palindrome (Adept)

Overview

The Palindrome (Adept) is the Adept version of The Palindrome, a Arc Hand Cannon for the Energy slot. The base weapon is an Adaptive Frame hand cannon. The curated roll is Arrowhead Brake, Extended Mag, Outlaw and Magnificent Howl. It was a fan favorite in PvP in late Destiny 1, competing with Eyasluna, and its flavor text "Draw, O Coward!" is a palindrome. The lore features the Psion Yirix.

The Adept variant is the harder-to-get version of the same weapon. It is masterworked, takes exclusive Adept mods and has improved stats. See The Palindrome for the full perk pool and notable rolls.

Acquisition

The Adept version is obtained by completing a Grandmaster Nightfall (it is the Grandmaster-tier reward of the Nightfall loot pool). Sources list it only as a Grandmaster drop; no focusing or crafting route is documented.

It first appeared in Destiny 1's Rise of Iron, returned in Season of the Chosen via Nightfall, and the Season 26 version (Arc, per Game Wiki) drops from Nightfall. Destinypedia lists an Arc variant during Episode: Heresy (and calls the Destiny 2 element Void for the earlier version).
