Grandmaster Nightfall

Grandmaster Nightfall was the highest Nightfall difficulty in Destiny 2, the final tier above the seasonal Nightfalls. It applied all Master modifiers plus two more, one of them specific to that Nightfall, and it added Limited Revives and Extinguish. It had no matchmaking and no Join In Progress.

Access

The Grandmaster was selected from a separate node that unlocked six weeks into a Season. Players could only play the weekly Grandmaster, unless they held the Conqueror seal, which gave access to a catch-up node. Completing all seasonal Grandmasters was required for the Conqueror title, or to gild it.

Rewards

Rewards include Exotic gear, Ascendant Shards and Adept Nightfall weapons, which could only be obtained from Grandmasters. Each completion also granted a Nightfall Memento.

Power level

The suggested minimum power was 40 above the Pinnacle Cap. Contest modifiers lowered that to 15 above the cap.

Removal

Grandmaster Nightfalls were removed with The Edge of Fate and replaced with seasonal Conquests.
