Crucible

Overview

Destiny 2's player-versus-player mode, run by Lord Shaxx, who gives weapons, armour and shaders. Quests require wins or kills in Crucible playlists.

Playlists

Quickplay unlocks after speaking to Lord Shaxx following the Spark story mission, and Competitive unlocks after two Quickplay matches. Permanent modes include Control, Rumble and Elimination. Clash, Showdown, Mayhem and Survival rotate weekly or are Competitive-only. Trials of Osiris is a limited weekly 3v3 mode with no matchmaking.

Rewards

Completing a match awards a Rare, Legendary or Exotic item. Players can use a Gleaming Boon of the Crucible, which gives every player an item from the current season's Bright Engram; up to three players can use one per match.

Crucible Ops

Crucible Ops is a related set of player-versus-player activities with its own reward pool. See the linked page for details.
