Mindbender's Ambition (Adept)

Overview

Mindbender's Ambition (Adept) is a Legendary Solar Shotgun with an Aggressive Frame, equipped in the energy slot. It is the Adept version of Mindbender's Ambition.

Acquisition

Introduced through Season of Plunder Grandmaster Nightfall rewards. Its drop is tied to the featured weekly weapon, rather than permanently to one strike. In the 2023 reward system, Commander Zavala's Adept focusing offered the featured Adept weapon using Vanguard Engrams and Adept Nightfall Ciphers; legacy focusing does not provide retired Adept versions. This is a random-roll Adept weapon without a crafting pattern. The original Nightfall playlist and its focusing currency were replaced in June 2026; retained Adept Nightfall Ciphers became Vanguard Ciphers.

Recommended rolls

Surplus with Swashbuckler is a melee-oriented option. Incandescent is an alternative for spreading Scorch through combatant kills. The reissued perk pool differs from the original weapon, so older rolls should not be used as a farming checklist for this version.

Crafting and variants

This weapon has no crafting pattern and no legacy sunsetting Power cap. Legacy Power caps were removed with The Final Shape.
