Smoothbore

Overview

Smoothbore is a shotgun Barrel perk that greatly increases Range (+15) at the cost of wider pellet spread. It trades precision at close distance for reach, so it suits Shotguns used at longer distances than normal.

Weapons

It rolls on shotguns including Perfect Paradox, Retrofuturist, Badlander, Python, Wishbringer, Hawthorne's Field-Forged Shotgun and Quitclaim Shotgun III.

Compared with Rifled Barrel

Rifled Barrel also adds range, but at +10 and with a -15 handling penalty. Smoothbore gives more range and keeps handling intact, accepting wider spread in exchange.
