Overview

The Wastelander M5 is a Legendary Shotgun that deals Kinetic damage. Its flavor text reads: "A trusty companion for those long walks in hard vacuum."

Acquisition

The Wastelander M5 can be obtained from the following sources:

• Dares of Eternity
• The treasure chest in Xûr's Treasure Hoard

The weapon was introduced in the 30th Anniversary Pack. It is based on the dual-wielded WSTE-M5 Combat Shotgun from Bungie's Marathon 2: Durandal, albeit with a single barrel. A recreation of the original weapon is featured in the All Four Barrels Finisher, which was made available on Eververse alongside the release of the 30th Anniversary Pack. The weapon's description refers to the original weapon's ability to be used in a vacuum in gameplay.
