Pugilist

Overview

Pugilist is a Season 18 weapon trait, with a Basic version and an Enhanced version. Final blows with the weapon generate Melee energy, and dealing melee damage briefly improves the weapon's Handling.

Effects

Community testing puts the melee energy gain at about 10% per weapon kill, rising to about 20% for kills with Sniper Rifles, Shotguns, Glaives and Fusion Rifles. The Enhanced version is slightly higher, at about 11% and 22%, and also raises melee ability energy gains by about 10%. The handling boost is reported as roughly 35 Handling for 3 seconds.

How much ability energy you gain depends on the selected melee ability's energy scalar, so the same kill can give different amounts with different melee abilities.
