Vow of the Disciple

Overview

Vow of the Disciple is a six-player Raid released 5 March 2022 with Destiny 2: The Witch Queen. It is set in a sunken Pyramid ship in Savathûn's Throne World, against Lucent Brood (Hive), Scorn and Taken. Final boss: Rhulk. Launch recommended power 1520. Variants: Standard, Master and Legend.

Encounters

Disciple's Bog (traversal). Escort a payload through the swamp, collecting Knowledge shards from slain enemies to progress while managing Pervading Darkness stacks.

Acquisition. Defend three obelisks. Defeat Glyphkeepers, read the revealed symbols and shoot the matching glyphs across the obelisks to progress.

The Caretaker. Split into Symbol, Stun and Kill roles. Gather symbols from dark rooms, stun the Scorn Abomination so it can't reach an obelisk, and deal damage on the glowing plates between knowledge-gathering phases.

Exhibition. A timed gauntlet managing Terminal Resonance, using relics (Aegis, Taken Essence) and identifying shared glyphs.

Rhulk, Disciple of the Witness. Two-phase boss. Swap the Leeching Force buff, dunk Emanating Force at the correct pillars to cleanse totems and drop his forcefield, and manage Pervading Darkness stacks before damage phases.

Rewards

Seven weapons including the Exotic Collective Obligation, plus the Resonant Fury armor set; Adept versions come from Master difficulty. Also exotic cosmetics such as the Gouging Light sparrow and the vendor Lubrae's Ruin reward. Many weapons are craftable.

Master

Master Vow of the Disciple adds extra difficulty and Adept loot.
