History of MMXIX

Overview

MMXIX is the first of the annual Moments of Triumph seals, a seal marking Year 2 of Destiny 2 (the Forsaken year) in Roman numerals. Completing it grants the MMXIX title. It was available from July 14, 2019 until August 27, 2019, shortly before Shadowkeep, so it is now unobtainable. The in-game record lists 24 triumphs; sources describe 20 qualifying triumphs plus reward and Solstice of Heroes entries, so counts differ between guides. Players needed Destiny 2: Forsaken and the Annual Pass.

Gilding

No gilding exists for MMXIX; Moments of Triumph seals are not gildable and the seal can no longer be earned.

Tips and time

• Many entries are retroactive collection or pinnacle-weapon checks; the grind is the event-window triumphs (Gun for Hire 50 bounties, Challenger 10 weeklies, For the Vanguard 25 strikes) and the raids (Last Wish, Scourge of the Past, Crown of Sorrow) plus The Shattered Throne.
• Rough estimate (editorial, not sourced): dozens of hours for a player with no raid clears; much less for veterans.
• Sources disagree on the exact triumph count: Game Rant states 20 triumphs were needed for the seal, while the in-game record shows 24; the game data on this page is authoritative for the 24. Game Rant confirms the event ran from July 14, 2019 with an August 27, 2019 deadline, and the reward tiers above (emblem, sparrow, ship, shirt discount code). Neither Game Rant nor the GameSpot guide mentions gilding.

Trivia

• The Roman numeral naming began here and continued yearly.
