The Whisper

Overview

The Whisper is an Exotic mission on Io. It starts near the end of the Grove of Ulan-Tan Lost Sector, where jumping puzzles through the Pyramidion lead to a Taken anomaly.

Encounters

• Parkour section: the jumping puzzles through the Pyramidion to the anomaly.
• Bosses: three Taken bosses spawn first: Urzok (Taken Knight), Drevis (Taken Captain) and Ta'aurc (Taken Centurion). A fourth boss, Tulgorh, Aspect of Agony (a Taken Ogre), then appears. Its immunity shield drops once the Taken Wizard couple is killed.

Versions and power

The original mission had a 20-minute timer, with recommended light levels of 300 (Normal) and 400 (Heroic).

The reprise's Normal version recommends 1810 Power with a 40-minute timer. Its Legend version was renamed Heroic after Destiny 2: The Edge of Fate. Reported Legend power for the reprise is 1830, while an April 2024 guide lists a 1815 power limit with a 20-minute timer.

Rewards

The mission grants Whisper of the Worm, and its Exotic catalyst drops on Legend difficulty. Completing the original Heroic version three times with Void, Arc and Solar Singe modifiers earns the A Thousand Wings Exotic jumpship. The Legend version also awards the Karve of the Worm jumpship.
