The Gorge Strangelet

Overview

The Gorge Strangelet is a story quest in The Edge of Fate set in the Gorge region of Kepler. Orin believes the Vex hold another strangelet capsule and that they threaten the singularity at the heart of Kepler. It is the final strangelet quest, so expect a moderate-length run of two encounters plus three missions.

Walkthrough

1. Travel to the Gorge in Kepler (a terminal at the entrance must be interacted with to open the area) and speak with Orin.
2. Earn the "Surveillance" Acceleron by fighting through the encounter: kill the Hobgoblin shield-casters, destroy the signal cubes to shut off the laser traps, and defeat the "Sentinel of the Conductor" boss.
3. Earn the "Siphon" Acceleron: you pick up the Matterspark II upgrade here and use its blast to defeat the Minotaur boss "Meridi and Didyo, The Assimilating Minds".
4. Use the Accelerons to open and complete the missions "Calculus" and "Disruption", destroying the Vex Minds that refine the Nine's power.
5. Complete the mission "Quarantine": defeat the Vex Mind holding the quarantine around the final Acceleron and retrieve the Strangelet Capsule.
