The Dreaming City (activity)

Overview

The Dreaming City (activity) is the free-roam Explore activity for The Dreaming City, "a long-hidden stronghold sacred to the Awoken of the Reef". It was introduced with Destiny 2: Forsaken (September 4, 2018) and is reached from orbit or the director once the campaign mission Awakening has been completed.

Activities and mechanics

• Patrol: public events, bounties, Lost Sectors and the Blind Well horde activity, with escalating tiers.
• Endgame: the Last Wish raid (against Riven) and the The Shattered Throne dungeon are launched from here.
• Weekly curse cycle: the city rotates through a three-week curse cycle that resets when the final boss is defeated, which changes available activities and rewards.
• Vendor: Petra Venj provides bounties and lore progression.

Rewards

Blind Well, patrol and raid or dungeon loot, plus the city's own weapons and armor. Difficulty and power requirements depend on the individual activity; open-world patrol scales with the destination's recommended power.
