Patrol

Overview

Patrol is the open-world mode in Destiny 2, in which Guardians roam a destination at their own pace. Patrol zones contain Lost Sectors, Adventures and patrol missions, and public events that run on a predictable schedule in public areas.

Beacons

Activating a patrol beacon gives a patrol mission, such as salvage (collect materials), assassination, scan, item collection, survey-and-kill or VIP elimination tasks.

Destinations

Patrol destinations include Nessus, the European Dead Zone, the Dreaming City, the Moon, Europa, the Cosmodrome, Savathûn's Throne World and Neomuna. See also The Rig and Archer's Line for examples of patrol areas.
