Sever - Resolve (triumph)

Overview

Sever - Resolve is a Destiny 2 triumph awarded for completing the Sever - Resolve mission. This activity serves as the seventh mission of Season of the Haunted and constitutes the final chapter of the Sever mission arc. The triumph carries a score value of 15.

The narrative premise involves Empress Caiatl, who, having been bound, confronts the Nightmare of Dominus Ghaul with the assistance of the Guardian. The mission takes place aboard the Leviathan, where the ship's transformation into a "rancid" state is described as a spreading miasma. The objective is to halt this corruption by severing the connection between the Cabal and the invading forces.

How to complete

To obtain the triumph, the player must complete the Sever - Resolve mission. The process involves the following key stages:

1. Clear a route to the Leviathan's Engines: The Guardian and Empress Caiatl begin by repelling Loyalist and Scorn forces. During this phase, the Guardian may encounter allies Val Parthus and Bracus Lume.
2. Assault the Engineering Bay: The Guardian plants a resonance beacon to counteract interference. A damaged Calus Automaton can be awakened during this segment.
3. Reach Caiatl: The Guardian proceeds to find Empress Caiatl, who has engaged a Nightmare of Ghaul.
4. Search the Engine Room: The Guardian descends into the ventilator and is aided by Optus Ulios. The Guardian must incinerate the contaminant within the engine room to take down fan turbines.
5. Defeat the Nightmare of Dominus Ghaul: The final encounter involves battling the Nightmare of Dominus Ghaul alongside Empress Caiatl. Upon defeat, the Nightmare transforms into the Memory of Ghaul.

The mission concludes with the severance of the connection, allowing Empress Caiatl to forge a new path for the Cabal.
