Sever

Sever is a seasonal activity in Season of the Haunted, made up of six story missions played in the Leviathan near the bottom-left corner of the Moon map. The Derelict Leviathan is the setting, with some areas on the Gauntlet's running course. The Sever ritual, organized by Eris Morn, aims to sever Calus's link to the Lunar Pyramid. Each mission has you face a "Nightmare" of a character's fear. The missions are grouped in three pairs, each with a failed first ritual and a successful second one:

1. Shame / Reconciliation: Crow confronts his past as Uldren Sov, facing the Nightmare of Uldren. These are Sever - Shame and its follow-up.
2. Grief / Forgiveness: Commander Zavala faces guilt over his son's death, facing the Nightmare of Safiyah (Sever - Grief).
3. Rage / Resolve: Empress Caiatl fights her nightmare of Dominus Ghaul (Sever - Rage, Sever - Resolve).

You solve puzzles such as shooting blue fuses, destroying Egregore spore pods to lower Darkness barriers, carrying the Wrench to repair nodes, and planting Ritual Amplifiers. Missions can drop Season of the Haunted weapons and armor and Opulent Umbral Energy. Players with a Bound Presence get additional loot from the chest.
