Dominus Ghaul

Overview

Dominus Ghaul was the self-proclaimed leader of the Cabal Red Legion and the main antagonist of the Red War in Destiny 2. Raised as an abandoned Cabal runt, he rose to Primus under Emperor Calus, then overthrew him in a coup and exiled him.

Role in the Red War

Ghaul led the Red Legion's invasion of the Last City, destroying the Tower, caging the Traveler and stripping Guardians of their Light. He is fought and defeated by the Guardian in the campaign's finale; after he tried to claim the Traveler's Light for himself, the awakened Traveler destroyed him.

Trivia

• He was the first non-human to wield a corrupted form of the Light.
• Calus's daughter Caiatl later became Empress of the Cabal.
• His echo returns as a nightmare in Shadowkeep.
