Minueting Mackerel

Overview

Minueting Mackerel is a Triumph in Destiny 2. The objective requires the player to catch a Minueting Mackerel. It is an uncommon fish caught with the Fishing activity from Season of the Deep.

How to complete

To earn this triumph, the player must catch a Minueting Mackerel using the fishing mechanic.

Finish the first weekly mission, Into the Depths. A quest from the holoprojector then sends you to speak with Hawthorne in the Tower, who gives you the tackle box. The fishing quest is Gone Fishin'.

Collect Bait. It comes from salvages, Deep Dives, playlist activities, public events, patrols and destination materials. Harder activities generally give more.

Fish at the ponds in the EDZ, Nessus and Savathûn's Throne World. Press interact to cast, then press it again when the prompt appears to reel in the fish.

Watch the Focused Fishing meter at the bottom left of the screen. A fuller meter improves the odds of rarer catches, so fishing in a group helps. Press interact shortly after a fish bites to land a Perfect Catch, which fills the meter further.

Leave caught fish on the ground, clear the public event that appears, then collect them once the next pond spawns. Those fish still count toward the second pond's meter.
