Lost Sector
Overview
Lost Sectors are PvE activities: hidden dungeon-like areas with many enemies, a boss and an unlockable chest. A symbol marks each entrance, though finding it can take effort. Lost Lament touches Perdition and Bunker E15.
Rewards
Defeating the boss unlocks the chest. The base chest always holds some Glimmer and at least one piece of equipment. Before update 2.0.0 it also held a planetary token; the update, released with Forsaken, stopped Lost Sectors granting tokens on looting. Base Lost Sectors can be repeated and repopulate after you leave.
Legend and Master
Legend and Master versions are harder, with modifiers and Champions. Defeating Champions grants an extra revive. Completing them awards Enhancement Cores and sometimes an Exotic armor piece of a specific slot if completed solo. Legend versions require looting the base chest once first and rotate daily. Master versions add further modifiers and Champions beyond Legend.
History
Lost Sectors first appeared in Destiny 2. Legendary Lost Sectors appeared in Season of the Worthy, were renamed Legend Lost Sectors, and returned in Beyond Light, which also added Master Lost Sectors.
