Destiny 2: Beyond Light

Overview

Destiny 2: Beyond Light is a paid Destiny 2 expansion released on November 10, 2020 (PS4/PS5, Xbox, PC and Stadia). It opens Year 4 and sends the Guardian to Europa, Jupiter's frozen moon, to stop the Fallen Eramis from using the power of the Darkness. Allies include Variks the Loyal, the Exo Stranger and Crow.

Campaign

The story campaign is played on Europa and teaches the Guardian to wield Stasis, a Darkness-based ice subclass with Aspects and Fragments. After the campaign the Aspect of Control quest and Exo Stranger bounties unlock more Stasis customisation.

Activities

• Deep Stone Crypt raid (released November 21, 2020), set in a Clovis Bray Exo research facility; recommended power 1230 at launch (final encounter 1250).
• Exotic missions including the Hawkmoon recovery and Dead Man's Tale.
• Year 4 seasons: Season of the Hunt, Season of the Chosen, Season of the Splicer and Season of the Lost.

Notes

The expansion shipped alongside the Destiny Content Vault, which removed older destinations to cut install size. Power numbers above are launch values and have since changed.
