Aphelion

Overview

The Aphelion is a little-explained entity or race known to the Awoken and to Calus's Loyalists. Sources describe it as dangerous, stealthy and highly radioactive. It has killed many Awoken, including the crew of the RSS Amestris and three Techeuns. Sjur Eido is the only known Awoken to survive an attack.

Lore

The name first appears in Destiny 2: Forsaken (2018). In the Season of Opulence Chronicon entries (2019), Loyalist scribe Shagac calls it a predator with the power to devastate whole worlds. Those entries also mention Athenaeum World X, which is said to hold information about it. The Aphelion's Rest Lost Sector may be a burial site connected to it.
