Glimmer

Overview

The Glimmer triumph requires the Guardian to acquire 20,000 Glimmer. Glimmer serves as the primary currency of the Last City, obtainable through various activities and vendor interactions. It is utilized to purchase goods, bounties, and other items from vendors across the system.

This triumph is awarded upon completion of the following WANTED quests:

• WANTED: Gravetide Summoner
• WANTED: Silent Fang
• WANTED: The Eye in the Dark

How to complete

Glimmer is acquired by defeating combatants, completing bounties, finishing public events, and looting combatant caches. Specific sources include:

• Defeating majors and ultras (enemies with yellow health bars), such as Riksis and Devil Archon.
• Defeating normal enemies while utilizing Ether Seeds, Black Wax Idol, Blue Polyphage, Resupply Codes, or a Legendary Ghost.
• Disassembling items or retrieving Glimmer from loot chests.
• Selling House Banners, Silken Codexes, Axiomatic Beads, and Network Keys to the Cryptarchs for 250 Glimmer each.

As of the Shadowkeep expansion, Glimmer drops on almost every enemy kill. The currency cap in Destiny 2 is 500,000, having been increased from 250,000 prior to update 7.3.4.
