Corsair Down

Corsair Down is a rare quest from the Dreaming City, obtained by defeating Scorn there. The drop is rare, so several Public Events or Blind Wells may be needed. Only one Corsair Down can be held at a time, and it appears in the Quests tab.

Overview

The quest sends you to a fallen Corsair's body. The last sentence of the quest description names one of six search areas, each with five possible corpse spawns: Spine of Keres (west of Divalian Mists), Bay of Drowned Wishes (in the Divalian Mists Lost Sector), Gardens of Esila (south of The Strand), Chamber of Starlight (in The Strand's Lost Sector), Harbinger's Seclude (north of Rheasilvia), and Aphelion's Rest (in the Rheasilvia Lost Sector).

Walkthrough

1. Defeat Scorn in the Dreaming City until a Corsair Down quest drops.
2. Read the quest description and go to the area it names.
3. Find the corpse at one of its five spawns. Corpses have been unreliable, so if none appears, exit the zone and re-enter, repeating as needed, or leave the Dreaming City and return.
4. Interact with the body to trigger an ambush led by a Hand of the Corsairbane. Kill it to receive a Corsair Badge.
5. Turn the badge in to an Awoken Corsair NPC at any Corsair outpost. The guide recommends the northern Divalian Mists outpost, in a tower usually surrounded by Taken.
6. Each turn-in gives Glimmer, Baryon Bough and a rare item. Turning in six badges unlocks a bounty that grants Dark Fragments and a Tincture of Queensfoil on completion.
