Koftiks

Overview

Koftiks, Taken by the Witness is a Taken Chimera of the Ultra rank that tries to corrupt the Blooming within the Pale Heart. It first appeared in The Final Shape.

Location

Koftiks sits beneath the Tree of Silver Wings and summons Taken forces to help. It is one of the possible final bosses of the Overthrow activity in the Blooming.

Encounter

When Koftiks loses a third of its health, it gains an Immunity Shield and swarms of Hive join the battle. Guardians break the shield by killing Revenant Cursed Thralls to make a pool of mist appear, then standing in it to fill the Volatile Fetor bar. The resulting buff lasts 19 seconds and lets players pierce the shield by interacting with the white circle around Koftiks. After the shield shatters, Koftiks retreats further into the tree. When it loses two thirds of its health the shield returns, and the process repeats until the encounter ends.
