Grand Overture Catalyst

Overview

The Grand Overture Catalyst is a triumph in Destiny 2 obtained from the Heavy Does It quest. It requires defeating 400 targets with Grand Overture. The catalyst adds 20 Handling and 20 Stability to the weapon and gives it the Grand Overture Catalyst perk.

How to complete

1. Get Grand Overture. Players who finished the Season 16 pass already have it. Otherwise, buy it from the Monument to Lost Lights Exotic kiosk in the Tower for 1 Exotic Cipher, 100,000 Glimmer, 200 Legendary Shards, and 1 Ascendant Shard.
2. Talk to Banshee-44 in the Tower to start Heavy Does It.
3. Step 1: defeat 50 Cabal enemies, score 50 Power weapon kills, and defeat 15 enemies in quick succession. You do not need Grand Overture for this step.
4. Step 2: earn kills with Grand Overture while playing Vanguard strikes, Crucible, or Gambit. Wins and higher-difficulty strikes such as Nightfall give more progress.
5. Step 3: return to Banshee-44 to receive the catalyst.
6. Upgrade the catalyst by defeating 400 targets with Grand Overture. This counter starts after you have the catalyst and is tracked as the Targets defeated objective.

Tips

• The Shuro-Chi encounter in the Last Wish raid is suggested as an efficient place to farm the 400 kills.
• The catalyst's missile explosions blind enemies, and enemies killed by missile impacts explode.
