Cryptolith Lure

Overview

The Cryptolith Lure is a Season of the Hunt device built by Crow to draw out Wrathborn corrupted by Cryptoliths. Its core is Hive technology from a Seeder Ship, found in the Spider's collection. Crow picks up a dusty Hive component that resembles Seeder Ship parts and hears a faint whispering from it, which he takes to be a transmitter.

Acquisition

The Lure is a quest item from Crow, received after completing the Trail of the Hunted mission on the Moon. It unlocks Wrathborn Hunts as part of Hunt for the Wrathborn.

Charging

The Lure is charged by completing Strikes, Crucible matches and Gambit matches. Random bonus objectives speed up charging. It stores up to 5 Lure Charges.

Mods

The Lure has three sockets:

• Prey mod: picks the target. Savek and HKD-1 are Fallen Wrathborn, Dul Arath and Xillox are Hive Wrathborn, and the High Celebrant of Xivu Arath leads the Wrathborn.
• Mutation mods: single-use mods that alter the Hunt's loot pool. Crow sells them, along with a Lure Mutation Finder that yields Mutation mods as extra rewards from most activities.

Reputation with Crow, raised through Recon Data, unlocks seven upgrades. Improved Seeker I unlocks the Hive Wrathborn hunts and Improved Seeker II unlocks the High Celebrant.
