Vexing Placoderm

Overview

Vexing Placoderm is a legacy Season of the Deep fishing Triumph for catching the Exotic fish of that name. It belongs to the seasonal fishing records and has multiple claimable tiers worth five triumph score altogether.

Original completion route

Obtain Fishing Tackle and Bait, then travel to the Fishing Pond beside the Pool of Luminance in The Cistern on Nessus. Cast into the pond and reel in immediately when the float submerges to make a perfect catch. Pick up the fish that lands nearby so it enters the tackle inventory.

Continue fishing until a Vexing Placoderm is caught. The species is an Exotic random catch; the Kheprian Axehead is a different Exotic fish and does not satisfy this record. Fish caught by other players do not replace your own catch. Claim completed tiers as you acquire the required fish.

Depositing the first Vexing Placoderm in the H.E.L.M. aquarium originally granted the Broken Blade of Ambition for the Wicked Implement quest route. That deposit reward is separate from claiming this triumph.

Availability

Fishing Tackle and Season of the Deep seasonal progression were retired on 4 June 2024 with The Final Shape. The original fishing route is no longer available, so this remains a legacy record.
