History of Unseat the King

Overview

Unseat the King is a triumph in Destiny 2 that requires the player to complete all encounters in The Pantheon: Oryx Exalted with a high score. Achieving this objective awards 25 Score and the Adept version of the Acasia's Dejection Legendary Trace Rifle.

How to complete

To earn this triumph, the player must participate in the The Pantheon: Oryx Exalted activity. They must successfully defeat all enemies and bosses within the activity's encounters. The triumph specifically mandates achieving a "high score" during these runs; the high-score condition is distinct from simply beating the bonus timer. The activity must be completed in its entirety to satisfy the objective.

Original Oryx Exalted route

This was a Godslayer seal requirement in the 2024 Into the Light version of The Pantheon. Earn a qualifying high score in all five encounters: Golgoroth, The Caretaker, Macrocosm, Atraks-1 and Oryx, the Taken King. The original Oryx Exalted difficulty imposed a ten-Power disadvantage.

Clear enemies efficiently, earn rapid-kill scoring medals and finish encounters while bonus time remains. A Platinum timer result alone did not guarantee the high-score threshold. At Atraks, aim for at least 500,000 total points including the time bonus; fast mechanics and rapid enemy clears both contribute. Track each completed encounter rather than repeating an already credited one.

Availability and reward

The original Oryx Exalted gauntlet left on 4 June 2024. This legacy record awards 25 triumph points. Its recorded weapon reward is Acasia's Dejection (Adept), an Adept Legendary trace rifle.
