Tying It All Together is a nine-step New Light quest from Ada-1 in the Tower, from Season 14 (Season of the Splicer). It requires Armor Synthesis Introduction and teaches Armor Synthesis (transmog) and the Loom. It is mostly a grind and can take several hours.

Speak with Ada-1 to receive starter Synthweave (a class-specific Plate, Strap or Bolt).
Create an ornament from any Legendary armor piece in Appearance Customization.
Return to Ada-1.
Purchase any Armor Synthesis bounty from Ada-1.
Complete a bounty and claim its reward.
Use the Loom to convert Synthcord into Synthweave.
Report to Ada-1 in the Tower Armory.
Acquire 10,000 Glimmer to buy another bounty. (Shacknews instead describes gathering Synthstrand by defeating enemies.)
Return to Ada-1 to continue manufacturing Synthweave.

Complete any Armor Synthesis bounty and claim its reward.
- Bounty completed
Use the Loom to convert your Synthcord into Synthweave.
- Synthcord deposited
Return to Ada-1 in the Tower Armory and report your successful operation of the Loom.
- Speak with Ada-1
Acquire 10,000 Glimmer in order to purchase another Armor Synthesis bounty from Ada-1.
- Glimmer acquired (0/10000)
Return to Ada-1 to continue manufacturing Synthweave.
- Speak with Ada-1
