History of Truth

Truth is an Exotic Void Rocket Launcher that uses Heavy ammo. It is part of the Forsaken Exotic set.

Overview

The Monument of Triumph update (June 9, 2026) buffed Truth: when every round in a magazine hits a target, one round is returned to reserve and the next magazine is buffed, which allows near-infinite ammo on a single target with precise shots.

Acquisition

• Monument to Lost Lights: at the Tower, open the Monument (the golden kiosk in the Tower Courtyard by the vault), select "Light and Dark Saga Exotics" and find Truth in the Forsaken Exotics section (bottom of page 2). It costs one Exotic Cipher and 125,000 Glimmer. Requires owning Forsaken (or the Destiny 2 Collection).
• Exotic Archive: the item's listed source is the Exotic Archive at the Tower, via the quest A Beautiful and Terrible Thing.
• Exotic Ciphers come from Xûr's weekly Xenology quest or older season pass rewards. Only one incomplete Cipher can be held at a time.

Catalyst

The catalyst is Reaper's Tithe: multiple final blows build a stacking damage buff; the timer starts on your next shot and further final blows extend it. It drops randomly from Vanguard Ops, Crucible and Gambit activities and Exotic Order payouts, from a pool shared with about a dozen other catalysts. Unlock it with 300 enemy defeats using Truth, then activate it on the weapon's stat screen.
