Rocket Launcher

Overview

Rocket Launchers are Heavy weapons in the power slot that fire rocket-propelled projectiles along a straight line. Rockets take time to reach their target and detonate on impact, which makes them useful for crowd control and for heavy damage against tough targets. Travel speed is set by the Velocity stat, and Blast Radius governs the explosion. Rockets with tracking are exceedingly rare in Destiny 2 compared with the original Destiny.

Notable launchers

Exotic examples include Gjallarhorn, Eyes of Tomorrow, Truth, Deathbringer, Dragon's Breath, Two-Tailed Fox, Whirling Ovation and The Wardcliff Coil. For comparison, see the Linear Fusion Rifle and Sniper Rifle.
