History of Truth

Revision 14856 by archivist at 2026-10-09 05:23:21

Truth is an Exotic Void Rocket Launcher that uses Heavy ammo. It is part of the Forsaken Exotic set.

Overview

Per Game Rant's 2026 guide, the Monument of Triumph update buffed Truth: when every round in a magazine hits a target, one round is returned to reserve and the next magazine is buffed, which allows near-infinite ammo on a single target with precise shots. The guide does not name the intrinsic perk or the weapon archetype, so check the in-game item for those.

Acquisition

  • Monument to Lost Lights: at the Tower, open the Monument, select "Light and Dark Saga Exotics" and find Truth in the Forsaken Exotics section (bottom of page 2). It costs one Exotic Cipher and 125,000 Glimmer. Requires owning Forsaken (or the Destiny 2 Collection).
  • Exotic Archive: the in-game source line lists the Exotic Archive at the Tower, via the quest A Beautiful and Terrible Thing.
  • Exotic Ciphers come from Xûr's weekly Xenology quest or older season pass rewards.

Catalyst

Added in June 2026. PC Gamer’s June 10, 2026 guide lists Reaper’s Tithe and says the catalyst is likely from Vanguard Ops, Crucible, Gambit, or Exotic Order payouts in the Seasonal Hub. The guide describes this source as likely; a later route was not independently confirmed. Complete the catalyst’s in-game target-defeat objective to unlock it.
