Strength

Overview

Strength is a character stat on armor in Destiny 2. It governs melee ability cooldown: higher Strength shortens the wait between melee uses but does not raise melee damage. Like Discipline and Intellect, it has diminishing returns at high investment (per The Gamer).

Armor 3.0

With Destiny 2: The Edge of Fate and Armor 3.0, Strength was reportedly renamed Melee while still reducing ability downtime (per search coverage of the Edge of Fate armor rework). See Mobility for the sibling stat.
