Short-Action Stock

Overview

Short-Action Stock is a stock perk that greatly increases Handling (+15) with no drawbacks, so the weapon readies, stows and aims faster. Speed matters most in close fights where you swap and re-aim often, which is why it is widely rated as one of the best stocks for Crucible play.

Weapons

It appears on four Exotics: Fighting Lion, Riskrunner, Skyburner's Oath and D.A.R.C.I.. It also rolls on many legendary weapons, including Dead Man's Tale, Gjallarhorn, Vexcalibur and The Riposte.

Compared with other stocks

Many stock perks trade handling for stability or range. Short-Action Stock favors speed over steadiness, so it suits fast-handling roles more than long-range precision.
