Fighting Lion is a Void Grenade Launcher Exotic designed by Wei Ning, who called it "the Zhang Fei."

Overview

• Archetype: Grenade Launcher in the Energy slot, but uses Primary ammo instead of Special, so it has effectively infinite ammo. To balance that it has a very slow reload.
• Historically it was weak at launch, improved in the Curse of Osiris era, was dominant in the Crucible around Season 14, and received its slow reload in Season 15.

Acquisition

• Exotic engrams and extremely rare world drops.

Catalyst

• Drops randomly from non-Guardian enemies.
• Adds Chimera: after the weapon fires, equipped Kinetic and Power weapons briefly gain increased handling and accuracy; also faster reload.
• Reported masterwork requirements differ: 500 kills and 250 bounties, or 1,000 kills and 2,500 bounties.
