Redrix's Broadsword

Overview

Redrix's Broadsword is a Legendary Kinetic Pulse Rifle and one of the Crucible's Forsaken-era pinnacle weapons. It is a High-Impact Frame pulse rifle, slow firing and hard hitting, whose flavor text is "The second swing is no less deadly." Shacknews describes it as an updated version of Redrix's Claymore with slightly different barrel and magazine perks.

Its signature pairing is Outlaw (precision kills sharply cut reload time) and Desperado (reloading while Outlaw is active raises rate of fire). Supporting curated perks include Chambered Compensator and High-Caliber Rounds; random rolls vary barrels and magazines but keep the Outlaw and Desperado combination.

Acquisition

Originally earned from the Crucible quest "Forging the Broadsword", picked up from Lord Shaxx after Destiny 2: Forsaken launched. The eight steps asked for 200 Pulse Rifle kills, reaching Valor rank Heroic, 75 Double Play medals, 150 Pulse Rifle precision kills, 50 kills each with Arc, Solar and Void damage, 25 Control, Survival and Rumble matches, 20 Crucible daily bounties and finally a Valor rank reset. Shacknews flagged the Double Kill medals and the Valor reset as the hard parts.

The quest is no longer available. Both Destinypedia and the Destiny 2 Wiki list it as legacy gear sold at the Monument to Lost Lights (Destinypedia gives 150,000 Glimmer, 7 Enhancement Prisms and 2 Ascendant Shards). The Destiny 2 Wiki also flags it as sunset-era gear.
