Overload Captain

Overview

The Overload Captain is a Fallen Captain of the Champion rank. It carries Solar and Arc weapons, including the Molten Welder, Shrapnel Launcher and Shock Rifle, and uses High Durability, Rapid Movement and Fallen melee attacks. It keeps its distance and avoids most incoming fire.

Mechanics

Its Overload modifier is Rapid Ability Regeneration. Its boosted ability regeneration lets it teleport repeatedly in quick succession. It also has Teleportation and Health Regeneration.

Anti-Overload abilities, such as those from the seasonal artifact, disrupt its ability regeneration and stun it, giving Guardians time to deal damage. Keep applying anti-Overload damage, because the Champion recovers after a short stun and begins healing again otherwise.

Appearances

The Overload Captain first appeared in Destiny 2: Season of the Worthy. It also appears in Season of Arrivals, Destiny 2: Beyond Light, Season of Plunder and Destiny 2: The Edge of Fate. A Saboteur variant from expeditions is also listed.
