Onslaught Refit

Overview

Onslaught Refit is a Season 24 trait that increases weapon rate of fire when you secure final blows. It rewards aggressive, elimination-focused play by making your weapon fire faster as you rack up kills.

How It Works

Onslaughter Refit triggers on final blows—kills made with the weapon—and boosts the weapon's rate of fire for a moderate duration. Each final blow extends or resets the duration, allowing skilled players to maintain elevated fire rates through consecutive kills. This creates a ramping effect where multi-kill chains result in progressively faster fire.

The perk is particularly effective on weapons with already-high fire rates, where a modest percentage increase translates to a noticeable damage-per-second boost. It also encourages aggressive positioning and fast target acquisition in both PvE and PvP content.

Weapons and Acquisition

Onslaught Refit appears as a trait on Choir of One, an Exotic auto rifle introduced in Season 24. The weapon fires extended-range, heavy-caliber projectiles at a reduced rate of fire, with increased precision damage when aiming down sights.

Choir of One is obtained by completing the "Encore" Exotic mission. Additional trait variations, including different versions of this perk, can be unlocked through the "Choir: Eternal" quest series available from Banshee-44 at the Tower Gunsmith counter, or by reshaping the weapon with different catalyst traits.

Related Perks

The Choir of One weapon also features Fanatical Lance, its primary trait that makes rapid final blows cause targets to explode into Radiolarian fluid. Onslaught Refit can be paired with Choir of One's intrinsic mechanics to create powerful synergies: faster fire rate means more shots, more shots mean more final blows, and more final blows extend the rate-of-fire buff.
