Mission: Criticality

Mission: Criticality is the 13th mission of the Destiny 2: The Edge of Fate campaign (July 15, 2025), set at the Aionian Campus on Kepler. Normal and Legendary variants.

Overview

The campus reactor threatens to melt down and destroy Kepler. Rout the Exile saboteurs and shut it down. The mission is timed; defeating Vex and collecting the motes they drop extends the timer.

Encounters

Destroy three disruptors at each of three reactor coolant pumps, using tools such as Matterspark, the Relocator and Mattermorph. The final boss is a Hydra whose shield is removed by killing the surrounding Vex.

Outer Wastes Strangelet Capsule.

Difficulty

Per the Shacknews campaign walkthrough, the campaign opens at a power delta of -20 on Normal; Legendary offers a x2 reward multiplier and guarantees an Exotic armor piece on completion, with heavily shielded, aggressive combatants.
