Major Fieldwork III

Overview

Major Fieldwork III is a Major Fieldwork assignment from Eido, the Apothecary, in Episode: Revenant. It sends the player to European Dead Zone to help with Tonic experimentation. The in-game description reads: "Help Eido with tonic research by participating in major fieldwork in the EDZ."

How to start

Fieldwork is started from Eido in the Tonic Laboratory in the Last City (up the stairs across from the spawn point), under the Fieldwork Items section. Fieldwork comes in Minor, Major and Key tiers; in Act II, Minor Fieldwork unlocks the Major assignments, and completing those opens the Key Fieldwork at the Tomb of Elders. Act II Fieldwork requires finishing the "Grave Robber" quest and installing the Autoclave at the Tonic Laboratory.

Activity

Travel to European Dead Zone and complete the major fieldwork objectives (a combat-focused patrol-style task). Return to Eido in the Last City and claim the reward from the Fieldwork subscreen. The Act I Europa version also includes a recording of Eramis and The Crow that Eido shares on return.

Rewards

Medium Tonic Reagent Sack (reagents used to brew Tonics). Some versions give additional rewards (the Act I Europa version lists the Blood Drive weapon and a lore entry; the Neptune version lists Reflective Reagents). In Act II, Major Fieldwork on Nessus and the Moon also unlocks the Excess Tonics and Tomb Reaper upgrades. Fieldwork reputation ranks give an Ascendant Alloy, an Ascendant Shard and an Exotic sparrow.
