Lightless

'''Lightless''' is the lore term for beings who have no Light. The term appears in the Quintessence lore book, in the entry I - Pith, which was added with The Witch Queen in 2022.

Overview

In the entry, the Psion that hosts Caiatl explains that hosting Lightless beings in its Mindscape is like holding up a hazy mirror, reflecting what is held inside. For beings with the Light, such as Guardians and the Lucent Hive, the Mindscape feels more tangible.

Trivia

Caiatl is Lightless, so she cannot create a solid arena in the Mindscape, and she cannot share it with another being. Instead, the space reflects her own inner state, so she has to face what she brings into it.
