Lepidopterist

Overview

Lepidopterist is a Triumph in Destiny 2 from The Witch Queen. It is earned by collecting all 10 unique Lucent Moths hidden in Savathûn's Throne World. Completing it also counts toward the Gumshoe title.

How to complete

The moths were released on a weekly schedule when the expansion launched, so players arriving later can collect all of them at once. Each moth is a collectible that must be brought back to Fynch in the Quagmire, where a small cave beside him also holds the location hints.

Moth locations:

1. Quagmire: defeat the Wizard that spawns near the Extraction Lost Sector.
2. Apothecary: shoot the five runes on a bunker, which are revealed with Deepsight.
3. Alluring Curtain: defeat the named Wizard on the right-hand side.
4. Temple of the Cunning: go underground through the Quagmire cave system; the moth is on a pillar near the central platform.
5. Miasma: in a tree on the northern side.
6. Temple of the Wrathful: kill the Scorn captain behind the portal to remove the moth's shield.
7. Court of Thorns: in a side room of Wellspring activity, held by the left statue.
8. Witch's Echo: through Miasma's crumbling building and cave, using Deepsight.
9. Altar of Reflection: above the entry door, reached with Deepsight. It can be reached through the story mission The Mirror or the weekly activity.
10. Fluorescent Canal: on a floating pad in the middle of the water.

Tips: use Deepsight to reveal hidden platforms and runes, and stay on the marked side of each path, since going too far leads into the wrong area.
