Hailstone

Overview

Hailstone is the Battleground mission added in Season of the Chosen in the Rathmore Chaos region of Europa. It is a Rite of Proving against Basilius the Golem, who is trying to locate the Deep Stone Crypt so he can create Cabal Exos. The fireteam challenges him to a Rite of Proving instead. Cabal (Red Legion) and some Vex oppose you. It is a Battleground for one to three players at 1100 Power.

Mechanics

Basilius is a Colossus. At each of three health thresholds he becomes immune and summons a Major Shield Bearer, which must be defeated to remove his immunity. He also deploys a portable Cabal shield that must be destroyed or bypassed by depleting his health. The Rite of Proving is the final arena, reached after destroying the last shield generators in the Well of Infinitude. Its waves of Cabal, drop pods and reinforcements make the fight chaotic.

Rewards

Completing Hailstone unlocks the Hammer of Proving. That seasonal mechanic is no longer available in the current game, so its rewards are historical.
