Gutshot Straight

Overview

Gutshot Straight boosts body-shot damage while aiming down sights, and in exchange lowers target acquisition, meaning the auto-aim pull is weaker. It's a trade-off: more damage on body hits at the cost of help finding the target.

The body-shot bonus is about 20% for Auto Rifle, Scout Rifle, Bow and Hand Cannon, and about 10% for Pulse Rifle, Trace Rifle, Sidearm and Submachine Gun. The smaller bonus on pulse rifles and sidearms matters most where only one or two burst rounds land on the body rather than the head.

• Aim-assist cone reduction was changed from -60% to -37.5% in a July 2023 patch.
