Auto Rifle

Overview

An auto rifle is a primary weapon that is magazine-fed and cycles automatically. It fires for as long as the trigger is held, or until the magazine is empty. Unlike scout rifles and pulse rifles, auto rifles fire continuously without needing a special perk. They are general-purpose weapons.

Use

Auto rifles suit sustained fire against groups of minor enemies and engagements where a player can keep the reticle on a target. Effectiveness depends on archetype, range, stability and perks, so check an individual weapon's page for its frame and perks.
