History of Firefright

Overview

Firefright is a Legendary Auto Rifle that deals Kinetic damage with the Precision archetype. It was introduced in Season of the Haunted (Season 17). Its flavor text reads: “What's the scariest part of a firefight? The whole damn thing.”

Acquisition

The wiki lists several routes: the Presage Exotic mission, focusing through the Haunted weapon focusing at Crown of Sorrow, a possible reward from Armaments of the Haunted, a possible drop from Nightmare Containment after binding 500 Vestiges of Dread, and a possible end-of-mission chest drop from Sever when opening it with a Bound Presence.

The item data labels Firefright a Season Pass reward, which the wiki does not list. The weapon is craftable: five Deepsight Resonance extractions unlock its pattern.
