EDZ Angler

Overview

EDZ Angler is a Triumph worth 10 points. It asks you to catch every Rare or better fish in the EDZ. It was added with Season of the Deep and sits alongside the other fishing triumphs such as Exotic Angler.

How to complete

1. Get bait. Each cast uses one bait. Bait comes from playlist activities, Deep Dives (19 bait), public events and patrols in the open world, and planetary materials (1 bait each). Visiting all three fishing spots gives 10 free bait from Hawthorne. Group up with friends for public events and patrols to fill your tackle fastest.
2. Go to the Outskirts pond. The pond is in the Outskirts area of the EDZ. It is tied to a public event, so it can vanish while an event is upcoming, active or just finished. It returns after a short wait, signalled by a bell sound. Place a map beacon on it to find it again.
3. Cast and time the catch. Stand on the dock, face the water and cast with the interact button. Press again as the float goes under. Pressing early loses the bait, and pressing faster gives a better-quality fish.
4. Build Focused Fishing. The Focused Fish meter is shared by everyone fishing at the same spot. It fills faster as more players fish, and a fuller meter raises the chance of rarer fish. It resets when a public event starts at that location, so fish as much as you can early in a visit.

• Aeonian Alpha-Betta is the Exotic fish tied to the Outskirts pond.
• Kheprian Axehead is an Exotic fish that spawns in every fishing pond, including the EDZ one.

Catching all four Exotic fish across the game earns Exotic Angler and the Pond Pals emblem.
