Deathbringer Catalyst

Overview

The Deathbringer Catalyst is a Triumph in Destiny 2. It requires the player to defeat 400 targets using the Deathbringer Exotic Rocket Launcher. Completing the triumph unlocks the catalyst's perk, Dead Weight, which makes the weapon's Dark Descent reach its full damage faster.

Catalyst

The catalyst is found by completing playlist activities. Guides list Strikes, Crucible and Gambit matches as the sources. Check the text and loot feeds at the end of an activity to see whether it dropped.

How to complete

1. Equip Deathbringer and get kills with it in any activity.
2. Track the count on the triumph, which starts at 0/400.
3. Keep going until the count reaches 400. Progress carries over between sessions.

Tips:

• Slot as many Rocket Launcher ammo-related armor mods as you can, and stack them where possible to speed up the count.
• Run back-to-back Strikes or Lost Sectors to get kills quickly.
• A 2021 guide recommended farming the infinitely spawning Shadow Thralls in the Shattered Throne's thrallway. This spot is hard to reach alone, and it may have changed since then.

Seal and rewards

The triumph awards no Score. Its reward is the Dead Weight perk on the catalyst.
