History of Cursed Thrall

Overview

Cursed Thrall is an origin trait on Legendary weapons from the Crota's End raid. After a melee kill, final blows with the weapon make targets explode for a short time.

The enemy

The name comes from the Cursed Thrall enemy, an exploding variant of ordinary Thralls from the Hive. It has a cyan glow, moves slower than other Thralls, pursues Guardians, and explodes when nearby or when killed. The blast damages enemies and Guardians.

The Grasp of Nokris variant applies a Chilled debuff that severely reduces mobility for ten seconds.

Numbers

Community testing reports the explosion lasting about 7.5 seconds after a melee kill.

Weapons

It is carried by Swordbreaker, Word of Crota, Song of Ir Yût, Oversoul Edict, Fang of Ir Yût, Abyss Defiant and Eidolon Ally.

The Necrochasm exotic auto rifle has a different trait, Cursebringer, which triggers a Cursed Thrall explosion on precision final blows.
