Grasp of Nokris

The Grasp of Nokris is a Hive brood centered in the Hellas Basin on Mars, led by Nokris. Its followers are undead Hive, fanatically loyal to their leader. Oryx excommunicated his son Nokris for a heretical bargain with the Worm God Xol. Nokris took his followers to Mars to claim it in Xol's name.

History

During the Collapse, Rasputin's Warmind froze the Hive army, Nokris and Xol in ice. The ice began to melt during the Traveler's reawakening, and Nokris and Xol fought the Warmind again. Nokris was defeated on Mars. After the Red War, the Grasp emerged to fight Guardians, and its leadership was eventually slain.

Xol later defected to the Guardians, and Nokris pledged himself to Savathûn as her Supplicant, allying the Grasp with her brood. Nokris's knowledge of necromancy influenced the creation of the Lucent Brood, and the Grasp's remaining forces were consolidated into it.
