Burning Ambition

Overview

Burning Ambition is a Season 27 Basic Trait. Sustained damage Scorches the target, and dealing damage to a scorched target inflicts more scorch. It has a Solar synergy.

Numbers

Direct hits on scorched enemies are reported to apply extra scorch on a 0.5-second cooldown: 10 scorch in PvE and 4 in PvP for primary weapons, and 20 for special and power weapons. Ember of Ashes increases the scorch applied by 50%. The Enhanced trait reduces the number of direct hits needed to trigger it.

Catalyst

The perk was added as a catalyst perk with the Monument of Triumph update on 2026-06-09, which introduced new catalysts and catalyst perks.

Weapons

It rolls on about 48 weapons. Examples include Abide the Return, Abyss Defiant, Agape, Ahab Char and Death Adder.

Tips

It suits Solar builds that land many direct hits, since the scorch bonus only applies when the target is already scorched.
